KUALA LUMPUR: The flood situation in Terengganu is improving while there is no change in Kelantan, with the total number of evacuees in these two states at 182 compared with 1,058 Tuesday evening.

In Terengganu, 138 victims were still at the relief centres in Hulu Terengganu (74 evacuees), Besut (43) and Setiu (21), according to the state’s flood portal.

Five relief centres remained open as at 9am Wednesday, with two each in Besut and Hulu Terengganu and the other in Setiu.

In Kelantan, there was not much change in the flood situation in the Pasir Puteh district with 44 evacuees still at the relief centres Wednesday morning.

According to the state’s flood portal, 26 people were being accommodated at SMK Kamil and another 18 at SK Bukit Awang, Pasir Puteh.
