KUALA LUMPUR: Tall Order Productions’ stand-up comedy showcase Lawak Ke Der tickled audiences at a full-house Istana Budaya, Jalan Tun Razak on its first of four nights yesterday.

The 90-minute, non-stop extravaganza of all-Malaysian humour featured four major comedians namely Afdlin Shauki, Harith Iskander, Douglas Lim and Bintang Mencari Bintang comedy trio Bocey, comprising Achey (Nasir Hamzah), Abam (Syed Umar Mukhtar Syed Redzuan) and Fad (Fadzlie Nizam).

Lawak Ke Der also featured guest appearances by new stand-up comedian Rayza Mukmin and television personality cum actress Sherry Al-Haddad.

And while the evening was one of rip-roaring laughter, the hilarious ensemble showed its serious and caring side when it invited audiences to observe a minute of silence in memory of popular comedian Harun Salim Bachik, a past participant who died last month.-nst
