Malaysian students safe in Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: The Foreign Affairs Ministry is closely monitoring the eruption of Mount Raung in Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia, located about 120 km away from Bali.

“As of now, Malaysians residing in the affected areas, including students, are reported to be safe, it said in a statement. The Ministry said most of the students have returned to Malaysia for their semester break.

“The Embassy of Malaysia through Education Malaysia in Jakarta is in constant contact with our students,” it added, Malaysians requiring assistance are advised to contact the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta at 00 62 215224947 extension 3201 (office hours) / 00 62 87877226433 (after office hours).
