PETALING JAYA: Respect one another regardless of race, religion or culture – that is the call by the Johor Sultan in conjunction with the Chinese New Year.

Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar said it was important to respect everyone despite their differences.

“I would also like to remind all Bangsa Johor that ‘concord brings blessings’, so let us continue to respect one another regardless of our race, religion or culture,” he said on his Facebook page Monday.

Sultan Ibrahim also wished the Chinese community a Happy New Year.

“I would like to wish a Happy Chinese New Year to everyone in the Chinese community.

“May we all be blessed with good health, happiness and prosperity,” he added.-Thestar
