KUALA LUMPUR: The craze over ‘Boboiboy The Movie’ looks set to continue, with the animated film hitting the RM5 million collection mark at the box office yesterday.

The film, produced by Animonsta Studios with the cooperation of Grand Brilliance, once again recorded highest ticket sales of RM690,000 in cinemas nationwide as well as in Brunei and Singapore.

‘Boboiboy The Movie’ has exceeded the initial RM500,000 it collected on opening day on March 3. Based on its strong showing, the movie appears on track to hold the record as the highest grossing local animated film ever.

Animonsta Studios has targeted an overall collection of RM25 million.

‘Boboiboy The Movie’ is scheduled to be released in Indonesia on April 13.-nst
