KLANG: The mother of a pupil, who was forced to cut his own tongue in a bullying incident at a school here on Thursday, wants her son transferred to another school immediately.

Siti Nurhuda Ibrahim, 29, said she was tired of the whole ordeal and did not want her son, Muhammad Alif Shukran Alias, 8, to undergo the trauma again.

“I want to transfer him to another school because I don’t want him to be bullied anymore,” she told reporters.

Siti Nurhuda said the police had also recorded her statements regarding the case.

She hoped that the police could solve the case as soon as possible, so that it would not happen to other pupils.

Selangor State Education Department director Zainureen Mohd Noor said the department would provide counseling to Muhammaf Alif Shukran and encourage him to continue schooling.

“Apart from that, the education department is also conducting a thorough investigation to identify the pupils involved, and will take appropriate action against them,” he said when contacted by Bernama.

On Thursday, Muhammad Alif Shukran claimed he was forced cut the tip of his own tongue with a scissors by a group of five Year Three pupils from the same school, and received a stitch as a result of the incident.- Bernama
