IPOH: A Form Five student was killed instantly after he fell from the roof of a shopping complex located opposite his school here today. Ipoh police chief Assistant Commissioner Sum Chang Keong said during the 12.30pm incident, the male student was still wearing his school uniform.

“Initial investigation showed that the student was supposed to go to school but he went to the rooftop of the shopping mall instead.

“Further checks on the body of the student revealed that there were no bruise marks. There was also no eyewitness during the incident.

“We have also gone to the school for further investigation but we have no further leads except for the fact that the student’s parents are divorced but they are still in touch,” he said when contacted today.

Sum added that police have taken a recording of the closed-circuit television from the shopping complex management for further investigation.-nst
