Agong’s ADC missing at Gunung Nuang found safe

KAJANG: A 57-year-old aide-de-camp of the Yang DiPertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V, who went missing while hiking at Gunung Nuang yesterday morning was found safe this morning.

The victim, Senior Assistant Commissioner Che Yusof Che Ngah went hiking with two of his children around 7.30am yesterday morning but got separated while coming down the mountain.

Kajang OCPD Assistant Commissioner Othman Nanyan said the victim was found by the search and rescue team in a very weak condition at about 9.50am this morning.

“We found him at about 500m from the mountain’s peak,” he said.

Earlier, he said 26 men, with two sniffer dogs were deployed to Gunung Nuang to search for the man.

“It was believed that the victim, after reaching the peak of the mountain, decided to descend first before his children.

“However, he later contacted his children to inform them that he was gotten lost while on the way down,”

“The search and rescue mission was led by ASP Hadi Rasip of Batu 18 Police Station in Kajang.”-nst
