LUNDU: The weather forecast is that it will be cloudy here on the morning of polling day for the Tanjong Datu by-election this Feb 18.

A spokesman from the Sarawak Meteorological Department said the forecast was based on rain expected to occur in coastal areas in this district in the morning.

“In the afternoon, thunderstorms can be expected followed by a cloudy evening,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.

The Tanjong Datu state seat by-election sees a three-cornered fight between Barisan Nasional (BN), State Reform Party (Star) and Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) Baru.

The candidates are Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu (BN), Rapelson Richard Hamit (PBDS Baru) and Johnny Aput (Star).
