Kamalanathan Urges Parents To Watch Over Their Kids This School Holiday

Deputy Education Minister and Hulu Selangor MP Datuk P. Kamalanathan has urged parents to keep track of their children’s whereabouts in light of the Bukit Beruntung drowning incident.

He was speaking to the press following the incident where eight children, aged between 10 and 13, fell into a retention pond before being washed away by sudden gush of water.

“What has happened is not within our hands, but keep track and know where your children are and where they are going.

“They are all still children and now it is the school holidays,” he said.

He also expressed his condolences to the victims’ families and thanked the search and rescue team for their commitment in searching for the missing three boys.

“I am very sad for what has happened. I know the family members and they are good kids,” he said.
