PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak took some time off during his official visit in India to meet Tamil superstar Rajinikanth.
Najib posted a picture of himself with the renowned actor on his official Twitter page on Friday.
“Just had a very warm n friendly meeting with Mr Rajinikanth the Tamil superstar at his home,” he tweeted.
Rajinikanth, who had shot parts of his hit movie Kabali in Malaysia last year, had previously expressed his desire to meet the Prime Minister when he was in Malaysia for filming.
Najib is currently on the second day of his five-day official visit to India, which was at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The trip, which will see him touring Chennai, New Delhi and Jaipur from March 30 to April 4, is aimed at fostering further cooperation between the two countries in conjunction with their 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations.-thestar
