KUALA LUMPUR : Police nabbed three men for the possession of flare during the friendly match between Malaysia and Liverpool Football Club at Bukit Jalil National Stadium here earlier.

Cheras district police chief Assistant Commissioner Chong Kok Sin said upon checkings, three men were arrested for bringing flammables.

However, Chong said, no untoward incidents were reported. “All entrances were strictly guarded and under surveillance by the police,” he said.

Chong said between 35,000 and 40,000 spectators attended the friendly match.
