KUALA LUMPUR: Despite Sabah having the highest number of Umno members at 561,617, Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Musa Aman is not complacent, and has stressed that the quality of service delivered to the people must always be improved upon.

In a statement today, Musa stressed that the strength of the party is drawn from support from the people. In his policy speech during the opening of the 70th Umno General Assembly, party president Datuk Seri Najib Razak gave special mention to Musa.

He applauded the Sabah Chief Minister for leading the party in a state with the highest number of Umno members.

Silam, in Sabah, also happens to be a division with the most members, at 51,902. In response, Musa said no shortcuts were taken to achieve the high number.

“It’s all about hard work, going down to the ground to listen to the people, loyalty to the party, good leadership and sincerity.

“We prove our worth through Umno and Barisan Nasional in our development agenda for the people,” he added.-nst
